March 8, 2024 Mineola, Texas Honey at one of her first derbies. These runs were incredibly long in addition to very cold and rainy conditions. The derbies are 3 to 4 runs to completion. Honey went out later on in the day, but gaining experience with these competitions is so very important!
Her first water test of the weekend. Honey gets a bit antsy with her feet. She loves doing this work! This seasoned test included two marks, a blind, and a diversion.
Seasoned Land Test. The first part of this test was a walk-up....it is not on this video. This video shows 2 marks and a "dead bird" blind. This is the handler's personal method on the blinds. You may have to listen closely as she sets up for the blind.

Honey had an awesome hunt with this Finished Water Test! The handler had to clear her out of his chair first. Sweet Honey! This water area was embedded in the woods and was not so easy to access. The test was a challenge because of the logs and debris in her path. It included 3 marks and a blind. Way to go, Honey!
Honey earned her Finished Title with this test! It was as much a challenge as the day before. This was another secluded water area that offered its own set of problems. She was tested with a walk-up with no lead, 3 marks, a "no bird" on the third mark, and then a not-so-easy blind. Honey enjoyed every minute of this! She is now HRCH Honey.....at almost 29 months.
